Squared Up Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Blazing Iron Software (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the Squared Up mobile game (the “Game”) on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

1. Information handled by the Game

1.1 Crash reports (Unity Diagnostics)

Each crash report contains technical details about the Game and your device’s hardware and operating system, and a random ID for your installation. The ID is not your device’s advertising identifier, and the report does not include your name, email address, or payment details.

Unity processes this data on our behalf and keeps it for 90 days. It is not used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites. See Unity’s privacy policy for game players.

Your installation ID is shown in small text at the bottom of the Game’s About page. It is a 36-character code of letters, numbers, and dashes, such as 1a2b3c4d-5e6f-7a8b-9c0d-1e2f3a4b5c6d. To have your crash reports deleted, email us this code (see section 4).

1.2 Game data on your device

So that it can work, the Game stores the following on your phone or tablet:

This data does not identify you and is not sent to us. Uninstalling the Game deletes it from your device.

1.3 Cloud backup (iCloud and Google Play Games)

The Game backs up your saved games, progress, and settings to your personal cloud account so that you can restore them on a new device. On iPhone and iPad, this is your iCloud account. On Android it is your Google Play Games account.

Backed-up data is stored privately in your account. We cannot access, read, or delete it. Apple and Google store it in accordance with their own privacy policies: the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

Backup is on by default. You can turn it off at any time in the Game’s settings, and the Game then stops sending data to your cloud account. Turning backup off does not delete what is already backed up. You can delete that through your iCloud or Google Play Games account settings.

1.4 Purchases

The full version of the Game is purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which process the payment. We never receive your name, payment details, or store account information. The Game receives only confirmation of whether you own the full version, so that it can unlock the larger boards and restore your purchase on a new device.

1.5 Emails to us

The Game’s Report a problem option opens your email app with a message to us. The message prefills with: the Game’s version; your device model, operating system, and screen size; whether you own the full version; and your installation ID. You can edit or remove any of this before sending. We use what you send only to deal with your report or request, and delete it once we have done so.

2. How we use and share information

We use crash reports only to diagnose and fix problems with the Game, and emails only to deal with the report or request you sent. We have a legitimate interest in doing so. We never use any information for advertising or marketing, and we never sell it.

Crash reports are handled by Unity on our behalf, and emails pass through our email provider. These providers may store data outside your country. Otherwise, we only disclose information if the law requires it.

3. How long we keep information

Crash reports are deleted automatically after 90 days. We delete emails once we have dealt with your report or request.

4. Deleting your information and your rights

To have your crash reports deleted sooner, email us the installation ID from the bottom of the Game’s About page (see section 1.1). We need it to find your crash reports, because they are not linked to your name or email address.

You may have other rights under the privacy laws where you live. Contact us to use them. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can lodge a complaint with your local privacy regulator.

5. Children

The Game is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children. It does not ask for personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and it treats every player’s information in the same way as described in this policy.

6. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on our website and update the date at the top. Major changes will also be noted in the Game’s patch notes.
